Give Up to Go Up

Mitch Tublin always knew that if he wanted to be the best, he needed to learn from the best. With a passion for helping others to achieve their potential, he sought the wisdom of those whose skills were beyond his own.

“When I determined to become a better speaker I started to work with Les Brown. When I knew I had to understand my purpose and myself at a deeper level, and how to build a business and marketing plan around it, I started to work with Paul Martinelli.”

After years of reading John Maxwell’s books, Mitch attended “The Big Event Conference” hosted by Paul Martinelli. There, John announced the formation of the John Maxwell Team. “I knew they were going to create something special and I wanted to be a part of it right from the start.”

Certified at the first International Maxwell Certification Event in August of 2011, Mitch hit the ground running and heavily invested in his personal transformation.

“What you put in is what you get out,” he says. By devouring resources, building relationships, and traveling to other countries for the John Maxwell Team, Mitch has had the opportunity to engage and challenge fellow leaders to make a change in the world.

Throughout his journey, Mitch has had to learn how to let go of the people and things that are not contributing to his success. “I have heard stories about the people close to you holding you back. When this actually took place for me, it took me by surprise.” With the support of the John Maxwell Team community beside him, he has learned how to move forward. “To let go is to make room to grow!”

Today, Mitch continues to invest in his growth while he helps others to construct the daily habits they need to build better futures for themselves and their communities.

I have read your story and it makes so much sense in my life, in my lack of career, I have your quote on my wall and if you think of it , it makes sense in every aspect of life. Even as one struggles with alcohol, drugs, violence, and so on! You should write that in up coming books. I have been a witness, a victim, and you have enlightened me with your words! Even though I have 3 Master's degree's , one must fix themselves and walk one step in front of the other from the first step up , and I love your quote! " To let go is to make room to grow"! As I struggle , with no family, the loss of children, and a husband who struggles of alcholism. I am not ashamed of this. I may be open. But it has gotten in the way of my career and my life. Now I am middle aged and I believe my career will not ever be what it should of been, but your words of wisdom, has touched me! Thank you Mr. Maxwell!
