You can read as many books as you like on the topic of leadership - and there are over a million to choose from - but at the end of the day the question you have to ask yourself is “do I actually give a shit about my people?”
If you don’t then you are seriously going to underperform as a leader.
Make 2016 a year to truly listen to your people, help them discover their purpose so work is meaningful and challenge and coach them. Then you will build trust and credibility creating an environment where your team is engaged, feels inspired and operates at its full potential.
You don’t have to be best friends with your colleagues but you do have to actually give a shit about them. Make a difference in 2016.
