“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.”
Hey fellow wall nuts and security huggers, I’m with you. Without borders, we’ll lose our country.
When Hillary says we need bridges not walls, today they’re acting more like bridges to chaos than humanity.
Still those immortal words keep reappearing: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses . . . "
So isn’t there a middle ground here? A small foot bridge maybe? How about we just cut the caravan kids some slack? And provided they’re decent people, their weary parents too?
Imagine how sore and aching their migrating children’s feet must be from the long blistering march, fleeing turmoil and poverty in their homelands . . . heading to the land of milk and honey.
So let’s think of ways to give little ones a probationary pass to enter into their fantasyland USA where in their dreams happiness, food and jobs for their parents abound.
Are we not the land of plenty? Do we not invite and await those tired, huddled masses to come and live free? Isn’t there a lady in our harbor beckoning them?
Unless their parents are bad people, why not cut the barbed wire just enough to allow the innocents among them to enter and have probationary residence.
Give them a chance to show how they’ll melt into our famous pot, a pot once all embracing and kind to all!
