Give life your all and watch what happens

The Most Powerful Black Women are meeting in March. Will you be there?
The best and worst advice you can give me when I am confused about the future is:?"Just start."
Worst, because I'm already thinking, "Start from where??"
And best, because it’s absolutely true:?all I need to do is take the first step, and I’ll figure it out as I go.?
Brittney Escovedo seemed to grasp this early on, applying herself fully to every opportunity, even when her path wasn’t crystal clear.
As a teenager, Brittany started helping her grandmother, who managed the anesthesia department at Kaiser Oakland Hospital. She first thought she’d follow in her grandmother’s footsteps and become an anesthesiologist. Later, she dreamed of being a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist), and eventually shifted to aspiring to be a registered nurse.
But life had other plans. Rejected from her preferred nursing school, Brittany made a sharp turn and landed in fashion school instead. An unexpected twist, right? She discovered she had a knack for the technical side of design, though she wasn’t sure she had the creative spark to become a designer.
In 2009, everything clicked during an unpaid internship with Seventh House PR in LA. She got to produce a fashion show for Charlotte Ronson and realized her passion for production.
Fast forward to today: Brittney Escovedo is the founder of Beyond 8, a production and brand strategy agency that works with iconic brands like Gucci, H&M, Motown Records, and Pyer Moss. Beyond 8 has been instrumental in bringing creative, artistic visions to life.
What’s Brittany’s biggest lesson? The power of networking. She emphasizes the importance of truly getting to know and connect with people, believing that great relationships are the foundation of thriving businesses.
Takeaway for me:
Sometimes the path to success isn’t straight or clear. But taking action, staying open to new opportunities, and fully committing to whatever’s in front of you can lead you to your true passion. It’s not about having it all figured out from the start; it’s about trusting the process and letting each step guide you closer to your purpose. Thanks, Brittany!
Question for you:?
What’s one step you can take today to move closer to discovering your passion or purpose?

Affirmation of the Week
Finally, my favorite part of the letter because I need this as much as you do.
Say it with me:?
"I have all it takes to discover all I can become. And I will give my all until I discover and become. One day at a time."
Believe it. Mean it. And carry it with you throughout the week..
Have a fantastic week!
