Give a gift to a disadvantaged child this Christmas with the help of Philip James
Here at Philip James we’re delighted to announce that we are taking part in a fantastic campaign to help make Christmas that little bit more magical for children living in poverty.
On the 5th December we removed all property photos from the windows of five of our branches and replaced them with posters advertising local radio station Key 103’s Mission Christmas appeal.
The annual appeal aims to encourage people to donate Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children and over the course of a week, we’re acting as a drop off point for donations.
With 152,000 children living in poverty in Greater Manchester alone, Christmas can often be a difficult time for many families. Due to financial pressures, many children won’t receive any gifts this year. This is something we want to change!
Last year, Key 103’s campaign helped to distribute over £2 million in gifts and cash to over 51,000 local children.
If you’d like to be a part of this fantastic appeal, all you need to do is purchase an extra present for a child and drop it off to one of our five eligible branches. We’re unable to accept cash donations at Philip James but if you’d prefer to make a monetary donation, you can donate £5 by texting KEY to 70808.
