The give back: Another reason I love locally owned businesses

It all started with a phone call from my friend Mike, who told me about a sports team stranded in Las Vegas because of Hurricane Irma.

Mike had spoken to the athletic director and he wanted to know if some of my clients could help. I had a really hectic day but wanted to help. I made some calls after I spoke to the athletic director personally about what the team needed to make their stay in Las Vegas better. I'm thrilled that a couple of my clients and friends offered to help when I reached out.

Michael Solomon , owner of Wingtime in North Las Vegas, Nevada, has arranged to deliver chicken wings, chicken fingers, mac and cheese and more! The Miami Central Rockets team and their supporters will feast on food from the locally owned business on Thursday evening, when Solomon and his staff will deliver dinner to their hotel.

Solomon is a dad of three boys and said his heart went out to the players and their families. A multi-unit franchisee, he is really busy right now, getting ready to open a new location for one of his other businesses (ever hear of Capriotti's Sandwich Shop?!) , but he jumped in anyway.

The fact that I have the privilege to work with business owners like this one makes me grateful.
