GIS Weekly Brief #15

GIS Weekly Brief #15

?? Weekly update by Prince Michael von Liechtenstein

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy traveled to the United States last week, meeting with President Biden at the White House and holding talks with both U.S. presidential candidates. He aimed to promote his so-called “victory plan” and secured financial and other commitments for continued support. However, restrictions on using NATO-provided weapons to strike Russian territory remain in place, which has been a significant disappointment.

The U.S. and its European allies remain concerned about escalation. Meanwhile, fighting on the front lines in the Donbas region is intensifying, with Russian forces heavily attacking the strategically important town of Vuhledar.

Both sides are ramping up their efforts. President Biden pledged to Mr. Zelenskiy that, during his visit to Germany in October, he would call for a global Ukraine summit. Switzerland, which hosted a peace summit in June, is expected to host an even larger one soon. It appears both warring parties are positioning themselves to strengthen their standing ahead of these upcoming summits.

Thank you. Very informative. Putin’s visit to Mongolia could have been an attempt to set up a Northern Barbarian scenario in relation to Communist China. Russi has over 6;000 nuclear warheads.
