The gifted storyteller

The gifted storyteller

Time and again you hear people extoll the talents of people like Steve Jobs who was often described as ‘a gifted storyteller’.

And that he was; but that label erroneously leads us to believe that storytelling is an art reserved for the chosen few.

Common wisdom would have us believe that great storytellers are born, not made.

But how could that possibly be true?

What is true is that all great storytellers have 1 thing in common.

No, they aren’t ‘naturals’. They are not ‘born storytellers’.

What they share is that they are all ‘practiced storytellers.’

Storytelling is a skill, something you can learn study and practice to get better and better.
