Gift a glass of milk to a malnourished child
If we had two meals secured in our childhood, it was not our efforts , we were just fortunate to born in a resourceful family ….but think for a minute “If we had not been that fortunate , had we been able to make positive changes we made in our life” . Malnutrition or semi starvation especially of children is perhaps greatest barrier and leads to permanent inability of a person to change his/her fate. Our birth is not a choice made by us but changing our situation from poverty to prosperiety is our right but malnutrition jeoparadise that opportunity and restricts such an opportunity/choice to built on even later in life.
One in every 3 undernourished children lives in India. About 50% of child mortality is due to malnutrition. 47% children are under weight ….This is a crime against humanity as children has not fault of their own… its just misfortune to be born in a poor family …and a malnoursihed children if left unserved will have mental retadation, poor health, low capacity to learn and of course least capability to learn skills and knwoeledge and chances of being able to change his/her situation will be permananetly damaged.
