The gift of Empathy is one that is easily recognised because not too may People have it. I wrote a post on my page about how I was celebrated this morning by my friend in Ajegunle community in Nigeria - Vocal Slender (Please go to my last post to see it). I have 2 Children that I adopted in Ajegunle - Deborah and David. They live with their Mother, a widow who has a small shop that can barely fit 2 People at the same time. I took responsibility of the Children's school fees and needs a few years ago and with the help of my friends and family, I've been able to continue to cater to their needs. These kids recently needed a Phone as schools went virtual and I had to get them a new Smartphone because their Mum wasn't using a smartphone. The icing on the Cake for me is that these Kids constantly make me Proud in their Academics. Deborah was the number 1 student last term in her class and David came in 3rd position in his class. It brings me great joy to be able to impact lives positively and I wish everyone could feel the same joy I feel knowing that someone's life is better all because I made a move. I challenge you all to pick 1 child to help. For those in Nigeria, you don't have to look too far. It could be your driver's child, your cook's child or kids who you know aren't as privileged as your kids. If you want to help, I can also link you up with genuine cases of kids who need help. My team also went ahead to donate over 500 Facemasks to Teachers and Children in the Ajegunle community and over 50 School bags and Uniforms. Do you know that some kids in Ajegunle were not going to school simply because they had no school uniforms? Now those kids have started going to school because they now have School uniforms. One of the greatest things you can do is to do something for someone who can never repay you back. Do you have the gift of empathy? What have you done for someone in need? Drop your comments.
