Giddy with Achievement: Leaving Corporate Life for Consulting Freedom

Meet the beautiful Tynesha. She reached out to me with a vision: elevate her consulting side gigs into a full-blown business, wanting to replace her full-time income so she could leave her job.

She wanted help. I was happy to oblige.

Balancing a whirlwind life - raising two kids, a tween and a teen, settling into a new city after a relocation, accommodating her husband's packed work schedule, AND teaching college courses part-time, she felt a pull. Her 25+ years in HR was calling out to be shared in a bigger way, but given her fuller-than-full plate she didn't know how to find the time and energy to make it happen.

While entrepreneurship was uncharted territory in her family, Tynesha was eager to pave the way motivated by a desire to be a role model for her children, especially her teen daughter.

She'd begun with initial business-building steps: website in place, community building through networking, and telling close friends about her dream. She even toyed with offering free services for client-getting until we examined the value of her time and expertise.

Our plan? Keep it simple and effective.

We tweaked her messaging, reinforced her confidence in her skillset, identified who her dream clients would be, and bam! Tynesha was soon on the move. Speaking gigs, new connections, two new clients, and inquiries for her services started flowing in. And the best part? She decided to value her services in a way that allowed her to give herself a well-deserved raise in fees, which got her, in her words, "Giddy!"

In less than a year Tynesha is now enjoying a life of her own making, or as she says, “Booked and busy.”

Now landing 5-figure contracts and working with dream clients, Tynesha took the leap and was able to exit her corporate career sooner than she thought possible. All while also authoring and launching a children’s book just because she always wanted to.?

In what could've been a long journey to recognizing the worth of her work, Tynesha sped up her personal success timeline with a dash of guidance and a lot of her own magic. She's well on her way to many more booked, busy, and giddy moments!
