Giantwheeling Life!!

Have you ever fell from a plane on the move above 30000 kms height at a great speed!!

When it happens, the first feeling you get is amusement, “Is it really happening, is it?! You start with disbelief; you would have never thought that this would happen.

After you come to senses and realize what’s happening, the immediate feeling that grips every cell of yours is feeling “scary”. You can also explain this as a state of panic or a state of sudden shock and “why me?!” or a state of disbelief, it’s not true...

Imagine this, you get on board in a super flight, enjoying your journey, suddenly the announcement comes that flight is not functioning and you have to jump out. At first your attempt is to try to find a way to stay put, even if people push you to jump out. You will beg to find even a small place that you can get by comprising your first class seat, you want to desperately find whether there are any small corners that you can be accommodated in.

Because you know, jumping out is dangerous and scary, you have heard or read that people died in sky diving or during such emergency jumping. At least that’s the assumption that mind goes into.

Of course you get to hear motivational speeches too from the crew members who have done it before or fellow passenger who has done it before - you get a bit of motivation.

Now if there is no choice and you are jumping out or pushed out of the flight. How to explain your physical and mental reaction, it’s a swing of high highs and low lows feeling, one time you feel highly motivated and another you feel that you are at the rock bottom of your life.

It is that feeling of fear and helplessness that you experience in a giant wheel when it comes down fast - your stomach feels like twisted and your heart is about to jump out through your mouth. You feel the moment of helplessness and panic that “this is it, end of my life”.

You suddenly start thinking of all the bad things you did, the people you are going to miss and those who you want to meet and those words you want to say to your loved ones. You want to beg, borrow or steal a tiny opportunity to live, from your God. You bribe the God with prayers, sacrifices, and promises - you beg for a miracle.

Your mind says many things now that you may get a heart attack, you may get a stroke, your eye sight is going bad etc., and miraculously you start feeling the same in your physique. That’s where you start feeling chest pains, headaches etc.,

After some time, you start thinking all the possibilities, curses and sins.

Oh, what about gods, all that you will think at this time is that, either no God exists or all the gods have turned against you - wrath of the gods!!

Now that you know you are in the air and having a free fall, what does your wisdom of positive mind does in between, of course with internal and external motivators, your mind asks you to stay alert and see if any opportunity that you can find, of course some would rest their faith of miracle with God only. And some would thrive more in such a state of extreme fear, how?!

To thrive in fear or crisis, either you should have been trained or well prepared for the crisis, like Japanese people, who are well trained and prepared for Natural calamities or you should believe learning on the go...

Imagine you are not prepared and you have jumped out or forced out, you will go through the following phases with

·        Amusement phase

·        Fear phase

·        Anger phase

·        Random Active phase

·        Self doubt phase

·        Panic phase

·        Acceptance phase

·        Productive phase

Let’s come back to situation, you are free falling and you know there is certain death, but that’s where you will start accepting the reality and then start realizing that if some miracle has to happen it is “YOU” who has to take the step, so that if any external force (could be your God/ faith or someone) is there, then they can give the support.

In that stage, one thing you need to do is to let lose all your fears and feel like a leaf falling from tree or a feather in air - without any resistance it will go along with the wind, same way you will go along with the flow, not to panic. This is where you mind will open up and look around for the possibilities and for sure it will find the miracle - could be a parachute behind your back that you haven’t noticed till now or someone ready to take you with them in their parachute or a possibility that you could be able to do a safe landing with an equipment which is with you. You never know which can become your opportunity.

An amount of faith or Positivity or Belief or Hope will do wonder here. To open the parachute which is behind you, first you need to open your mind. Accept the reality and become creative and productive.

Of course unprepared fall in the air is an excruciating experience, so does a job loss and searching one.

It’s the same feelings you go through, when you find that you are out of the job and get into the scary journey of job search.

I call this stage of life’s experience- “Giantwheeling”,

Look at the children, even if they fall down and get hurt, they come back and play. There is a relentless pursuit in their heart, that’s what one should have, when they are experiencing “Giantwheeling”. Remember Pain and Struggle are the stepping stones for Success and Greatness.

Not to worry, surely wheel will come up!!

oh yes. Been there & know the feeling. Well put and well said. What you tell the universe is what is meted out to you. Curse it for your condition and it persists See the positiveness of it and then it is your turn to go up
