?Nigeria being the giant of Africa was declared independent on the 1st of October, 1960. Ever since then, Nigeria has had to remain independent by being strong and willing to take up her duties and responsibilities regarding the administration of her affairs.
61 years later, Nigeria is seen as one of the most resilient countries, striving to make its people live in a better place without depending on the British colony. It is seen as a big feat for Nigeria by other countries who thought she could not stand on her feet because of her level of ignorance which was taken for granted by the British government.
The Nigerian now is very able to not only stand on her own but speak for herself and get what is rightfully hers in this world. She has learned leadership while taking authority in different sectors of her nation and the world.
She has realized that her natural resources like Agriculture, oil, and mineral resources can earn her financial liberty to stand on her own financially without borrowing from her sisters. She has not only realized these resources but also developed them by growing food crops and establishing food factories to process them into consumable use, which does not leave her citizens hungry.
Her mineral resources are mined and used for industrial sectors, so also oil discovered from specific states is drilled and processed to be exported and to be utilized in the oil industry, deriving petroleum products for its citizen’s consumption.?
Going into her political affairs, she might not have perfected the various dimensions of governing her people, but she is daily making efforts to ensure her people are well and safe.
Beginning this new decade,?during its first half, her nation was given a big blow and was forced to go on lockdown to avoid the covid 19 pandemic crisis and survived without the daily activities of her citizens, which left her economic state rattling without control.?
The majority of her people lost their jobs, ran into financial losses, lost loved ones with inflation never-ending. Yet, she chose not to give up as she is on the move to recover all that she had lost.
Today, with the help of technology, her citizens and herself applied wisdom into maximizing the use of technology to put the country right on track. By using the stay-at-home order to conduct businesses, her people were wise enough to learn more skills to make a living and increase the standard of living for themselves.

?Relentless on her efforts, she is very creative and is working on ideas that will boost her economy going forward.
She is Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, and her second name is resilience,
This is because right from gaining her freedom till now, she never gave up and was quick to recover from all challenges and difficulties, and she is still in the process of doing so.
61 years after, she is standing strong and will continue to do so till the end notwithstanding her various tribes and cultural backgrounds.
Nigeria is one,?
And we will keep waxing strong.
Happy Independence Day Nigeria and,
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
