Entain reviewing M&A activity amid reports of potential division sales

According to a report in the Financial Times, Entain has hired advisors to oversee the possible sale of several of its overseas brands. Those brands that could be sold include BetCity, Enlabs and CrystalBet, as well as a potential sale in Australia. BetCity is a Dutch online sports betting operator, one Entain completed the acquisition of in January 2023. Read the full story here.

FanDuel launches in Washington DC through sports wagering subcontract with Intralot

The Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG) for the District of Columbia confirmed that FanDuel will launch in the jurisdiction. This will be managed through a new sports wagering subcontract with Intralot. Philippines regulator buoyant on surpassing Singapore

The Philippines is positioned to potentially surpass Singapore as Asia's second-largest gambling destination, trailing only Macau, according to Alejandro Tengco, Chairman and CEO of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor). In an interview with Bloomberg, Tengco commented: “If Singapore doesn’t expand, they will plateau. Don’t be surprised if next year we will surpass them." Read the full story here.
