Getting Your Past Podcast Guests to Share Their Episode

Getting Your Past Podcast Guests to Share Their Episode

?? Big Ideas From This Episode:

#1. Clear Communication

Provide guests with specific, easy-to-follow instructions on how they can share their episode, ideally through a simple, direct request.

#2. Provide Shareable Assets

Create and distribute compelling promotional materials, such as graphics, audio snippets, or pre-written posts, to make sharing effortless.

#3. Establish Sharing Expectations Early

Set the expectation during the pre-recording phase that sharing is part of the collaboration, integrating it into your guest onboarding process.

#4. Show Appreciation

Acknowledge and thank guests for their participation and any subsequent shares, fostering goodwill and encouraging further promotion.

?? Final Thought:

Encouraging guests to share their podcast episodes is crucial for expanding your reach and maximizing the impact of each session. By making the sharing process as straightforward and rewarding as possible, you ensure guests are more likely to promote their appearances. Implementing these strategies not only enhances your show's visibility but also strengthens relationships with guests, creating a network of advocates for your podcast.

Podcasters: you don't have to be the "best" in your niche, or even strive to be the best in your niche. It can be so easy to fall into this myth that in order to be successful or be seen as legitimate in whatever space you're in, that you have to outshine everyone else. ...This is how you burn out, or crumble from the pressure of comparing yourself to others. But honestly, good information is everywhere. It's cheap, even. We have the Internet, we have AI, and there's always going to be someone out there who's more of an "expert." But thankfully, the majority of the time, that's not even what listeners are looking for. At least, it's not the ONLY thing they're looking for. They're looking for good stories, they're looking for connection, they're looking to be emotionally moved, they're looking for inspiration, for laughter, for depth, for new perspectives. And only you can bring those things in the unique way that YOU do. #podcasting #podcastingtips #podcaststrategy #podcastmarketing #womeninpodcasting #womenwhopodcast #brandbuilding #thoughtleadership #womenleaders
