Obsess over your learning. When the light bulb went off that I realized how I could set myself and my family into the realm of financial freedom, I couldn’t be stopped. Consume as much info as you can about your business. Getting your mind right in 2019-20? This is a perfectly fine time to start. Make the rest of 2019 the year you start to develop one high value skill. Build a website, tear it down and build another. Master the tools it takes to build a website. Start writing. Many people make good extra income as a copywriter. Many bloggers and entrepreneurs simply don’t have the time to do this, and pay great money for a good ghostwriter. Video Editing. Understand where this is going. There are many tech freelancing jobs out their. The internet is not going anywhere. Learn everything you can about driving traffic to websites, then go get paid to do so.
Go Thru The Motions
This is very important and taps into the wiring of your brain. Just like any lesson or workout plan you have to continue thru your motions. Write that blog, cut that video, build out that sales funnel, reply to those emails.
This always leads to the best and most desired results. This also makes the payoff that much more satisfying. In this time it is absolutely important that you wrote down your goals. Remember your WHY. The reason you are seeking passive income or starting that work from home goal, letting go of that 9-5. Write these things down and place them somewhere you can see them on a daily basis. GO THRU THE MOTIONS.
Goals – Lifetime Annual Monthly Weekly Daily
WRITE THESE DOWN!!! Do not sell your dreams and expectations short. This is your daily, weekly, monthly, Annual and Lifetime endgame. Treat them with respect. Keep them close to your thought process as possible. Write them on your mirror, hang them on your refrigerator. Hang them on the inside of your front door so you can see them every time you leave for that 9-5 you may be trying to escape.
Brainwash Yourself
BREAK THRU!!! Start thinking like you know what you are doing. Act as such. Hold yourself to a higher standard every day. Be purposeful of the knowledge you consume. Make it a point to have a constructive thought process with yourself every day. How you think and how you feel, absolutely have everything to do with your state of being. Be aware of your mindfulness to yourself. Read the definition to this powerful word here…
mind·ful·ness [?mīn(d)f(?)ln?s] NOUN
1. the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something.
2. A mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
I absolutely love this. Coming from the background of high end/high volume kitchen work, over the years this word is one of few that I teach to young cooks and aspiring chefs. When its absolutely imperative that you keep your shit together and push on, mindfulness keeps your head straight. This has become such a life lesson for me outside the restaurant when I’m dealing with raising young children, preparing for their future. Getting the bills paid, generally taking care of life. These things cause great anxiety and this is OK.
Embrace those feelings. Apply definition – “focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and ACCEPTING one’s feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations. Give your brain sessions to run wild, let it exhaust itself, and return to your mission. Often times you find yourself much more clear afterward.
Before Bed
This is the perfect opportunity to unload your brain. Stop just laying in bed staring at the ceiling for nothing. Keep that notepad close by and make it a point to write before you sleep. Laying in your bed brings on an unknown feeling of vulnerability. There is nothing you can do in that moment about the days past or the days coming. So your brain starts working on your ability to sleep. You won’t remember half of what your brain was rambling about before you fell asleep. So write that down! Typically, i find myself falling asleep writing within 10-15 mins. Your brain will exhaust itself and remember why you went into the bedroom to begin with. I’m telling you this works every time.
