Getting What You Want Faster

Getting What You Want Faster

What's the difference between people who do what they want and those who don't?

After working with thousands of people and business leaders, here's their pattern of mind, heart, and actions...

  • Vision.
  • Desire.
  • Hunger.
  • Determination.
  • Drive.
  • Committment.
  • Intelligence.
  • Wisdom.
  • Urgency.

While traveling with Tony Robbins, I learned a valuable lesson about saving time, our most valuable asset.

Studies show that?the brain can't distinguish between imagination and reality.

When you think of those implications, you can use this insight to gain clarity on the life you want to experience.

How?

Meditation, silence, and guided visualization...?

I've lived a privileged life, but in my early 20s, that changed because I decided to leave comfort to forge my destiny. I wanted to experience the grind, the hustle, and the discomfort of starting from nothing.

God felt my desire. I left my family in Switzerland and returned to California. Upon returning home, my mom's business was in trouble. So much so that we almost went homeless. My wife was pregnant, so I had to learn to make money, starting from the bottom.

I worked at a few restaurants, dishwashing, bussing, and running food. Eventually, I got promoted and became a server, earning a whopping $60-$100 per shift. Then,?I decided to get an additional restaurant job. California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) at lunchtime and Ruth's Chris at dinnertime, I earned $100-$300 each night. After a while, CPK and Chipotle offered me management jobs, but I preferred earning cash daily, and I said no. That's when I realized I had reached my potential in that profession.

Around the same time, one of my closest friends, whom I met at a Tony Robbins event, mentored me and told me to leave the restaurant industry. He showed me how the world was changing with technology. We did some advertising campaigns using Google Pay Per Click to sell things back in 2006.

With the emerging skills?I was developing and the frame of mind to leave the restaurant work, my wife suggested applying to a real estate company nearby.?I got hired as a recruiter, and I realized that most real estate agents at the time didn't know how to find leads online. I asked my broker if I could teach at the office meetings, and he agreed.?One day, the Century 21 Franchise Business Consultant noticed my training, and she?invited me to teach at the Global Conference in Las Vegas, and I accepted.?Teaching over 300 brokers, managers, and agents was a great honor, especially after getting invited every year since then.?

After six years of doing that at the local level, I got offered a position at the corporate level as a Business Consultant for thirty of the highest-performing brokerages and their agents. I ended up doing that for an additional seven years after that. It felt like I had made it. I was making a lot of money teaching top leaders how to use technology to earn more money.

I'm going on my third year of consulting independently and working with clients I choose instead of getting a book of business assigned to me.?It's a liberating feeling. Freedom is available to anyone who seeks it—having a goal with Pig-Headed Determination makes it easier to achieve.?

My friend mentored me to achieve even more. He was experienced in technology as a senior architect for Amazon.com in their early days.?

My goal was to leave the restaurant industry and make more of a positive impact on the lives of the people I serve. Now, I do that every day.?

Depending on your goals, mentors can help you get what you want faster because they see a path that might not be clear to you about your career.??

Do you have someone who can help you see opportunities or remove what may be blocking you?from achieving your goals??

If not, I'm here to help.

Best,

P.S. Success leaves clues. If you have accomplished your goals in the past, there's a good chance that you can do it again. Sometimes, you need to remember what you did to get there. ??
