Getting up better each day
Have you noticed?
It’s entirely possible (perhaps even predictable) to feel more ‘zonked’ these days more than ever.
Whether it’s through Doomscrolling or over-Zooming or even more simply, the lack of real human contact, getting into action each day can be hard.
Classically and correctly, rituals, mantras and habits provide the answer.
And it turns out that the first few moments you’re awake are crucial to what happens (or perhaps more correctly, to what you create around you) for the rest of the day.
Last week, my friend David Dugan sent me a great mantra that he uses (he got it from Tony Robbins when they were working closely together).
I always spend time first up in moments of gratitude but now I’ve added in the Mantra too …. and it works! Here it is:
"Now I am the voice. I will lead, not follow. I will create, not destroy. I will believe, not doubt. I am a force for good. Set a new standard. Step up!"
And then there’s a little riff on the end like this:
"We stand tall in Singapore -- inspired, in spirit, in essence, together -- taking 100 percent responsibility for our lives. We grow so that we have more to give. With clear minds and open hearts we bring absolute certainty from that centred place within to ANY condition and EVERY situation imaginable."
As I said, it seems to be working well. Wonderment indeed.
And I wonder what your little morning rituals are????
