Getting unexpected testimonials!

Yesterday I received 2 unexpected testimonials from clients. What an unusual thing- and 2 on one day!

Once clients have completed their coaching with me, I often wonder what has really happened in their lives as a result of the coaching. One client had only had about 6 sessions with me, and then she stopped coming- so I felt that I had failed her. Years later I found out that she had found those 6 sessions life changing. So, there was I, beating myself up, when in fact I should have been patting myself on the back!

So these 2 testimonials arriving on the same day made a huge impact on me-especially as they were not asked for. I felt like superwoman! How do you get client testimonials? How do you get clients to evaluate your coaching process? and how do you keep in touch with clients after they have stopped coaching?

The most important thing is to make it as easy as possible for the clients. I used to have them complete an evaluation form- which was laborious for them. I now send the 3 questions as ask them to answer them on a short whattsapp video, or short written answers. I don't like to ask for testimonials as I feel that they are doing me a favour- probably not the case at all- but that is what stops me getting more testimonials.

I also try and make contact with all past clients on their birthdays. I also send info through to clients if info crosses my desk, which I feel would be valuable to them. Other than that, past clients disappear into the ether- and most times I don't know how they are doing. Do you find the same thing?
