GETTING ON TOP OF YOUR TROUBLES

God wants us to live a life of abundance, and not to be overwhelmed by our circumstances. We are to walk in victory no matter how negative things may seem.

King David penned, "I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth." (Psalms 34:1). When David said he would praise the Lord "at all times" he meant in the good times as well as the demanding times. The Bible tells us to stay full of joy no matter what we are facing. The joy of the Lord is our source of strength, and the enemy knows it.

Remember, our God is a good God who wants the best for those who are his children. In Jeremiah 29:11 we are assured of this: "For I Know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope".

When you are full of joy and have a good attitude, you will find it easy to keep yourself strong. That attitude of faith paves the way for God to work miracles – and it paves the way for God to turn your situation around! No matter what that situation may be.

When you're really confused, worried or don't have a clue what to do, don't let panic or worry guide your decisions. Relax for a minute and let God work. You'll be amazed at the insight you get from waiting on God instead of striving to find answers on your own.

Before you make any decision read Philippians 4:11-13. It’s a great Scripture. “For I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content. I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound; in any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and want. I can do all things in him who strengthens me.” Don't always react on your first impulse - instead, meditate on what God would want from you and realize that He is in control. You'll be able to see His hand working in just about any situation when you take a step back and realize it's not your plan, but His.

The Upright Will Inherit God’s Best - 28The Lord is devoted to holiness, honesty and integrity, and will not abandon His followers. They’ll be cared for. However, the offspring of the ungodly will be cut off from His presence and from His blessings forever. 29The upright will inherit the best portions of land, territories and nations and will inhabit them forever. 30Those devoted to holiness speak wisely and act justly. 31The more they draw closer to the Lord, the more the law of God abides in their heart. He won’t stumble.

32This is in sharp contrast to the ways of the ungodly, who constantly spy upon the upright in God and seek to destroy them at every opportunity. 33But it won’t happen. The Lord won’t stand back and allow the enemy to falsely accuse or destroy the righteous without being stopped and brought to account. 34Those who sincerely trust Him, wait in His presence and uphold His commandments, will be lifted high and will inherit the best portions of land, territories and nations. At the same time they’ll see the ungodly cut off from His presence and His blessings with their own eyes. Psalm 37:28-34 – Peter Collins rewrite

So why do we succumb to troubles in our lives? Its ‘mainly because when we look at our circumstances we launch them into our future? When we look at our future with our own eyes, we can see no way out of them. Our circumstances tend to overwhelm us and we focus on them only. We become dejected and, because there seems to be no hope, our spirits become depressed.

God can show you a way through no matter what you are facing - No Matter what situation you are confronted by in today’s busy world, the Word of God has either a solution, and uplifting word, the guidance you need or the encouragement to keep going at a time when all around you seems hopeless or inadequate. The fact is, your thoughts determine your destiny. You can't make the smallest decision without thinking about it and you can't dwell on negative thoughts and expect a positive result. Proverbs 23:7 says: "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he." If you dwell on God's Word, "You are an overcomer," because, "You can do all things through Chris." Once these scriptures get down in your spirit, you can become what the scripture says. The following word should help you regain your focus
