Getting started with PWAs

The idea of PWAs (Progressive Web App) was initiated by Steve Jobs in 2007; an innovative way to create progressive web app that will behave like mobile, native apps.

Whether users are on Surface Book, Android, iPad, Xbox One, TV, Mac OS, iOS, Window, Linus system, PWA only works once on all of these platforms.

So, how will we define PWA?

PWAs are web applications that function entirely as a native mobile application, with integrations to phone hardware, the ability to access them throught a home screen icon, and offline functionality. The new version of PWABuilder allows you to rest the functionality of your site integrated with the PWA. You also have the option of dowloading sample files with code to help you get started with your project.

How to create PWAs correctly?

To function properly, there are several libraries available to create PWAs. We can recall among others WorkBox, PWABuilder, Manifest, Service Worker. We will first define WorkBox and it's use; then we will detail how to use it as well as PWABuilder.

Basically, to turn a website into a Progressive Web Application, you need a service worker, a manifest and other. Now, you have the basic information regarding PWA.
