Getting Smarter to Communicate Better
Listen & learn, kid.
I teach my kid that listening is important.? That he needs to listen in order to learn, grow, change his behavior, be polite, or otherwise thrive in the world around him.? Sometimes my point gets across. Other times, I am defeated by that destroyer of attention spans – the iPad.
Then I go to work and have deja vu all over again.
My customers, including 65% of the Fortune 500 and tens of thousands of smaller businesses, have valuable information.? Conveying that to their prospects, customers, employees, and communities is central to what they do.? The value created by effectively communicating that information can be measured at the top line, the bottom line, in reputation, relationships, compliance with laws or regulations – you name it.
Their issue is that conveying information effectively is far easier said than done.? Sure, organizations prepare and send information all day long.? And for the most part, the information reaches its target audience.? But is it listened to?? Engaged with?? Absorbed and retained?? Does it achieve the desired effect?? Or is it defeated by one of the many, many attention span splitters that are so prevalent in our lives these days?
Organizations, large and small, destroy value all day every day.? They do it every time they think sending = communicating.? They do it every time they know sending isn’t enough, but can’t overcome this one daunting reality - communications fail unless they truly engage their target audience.
Ya gotta fight fire with fire.
If audiences are distracted, organizations need to find a medium that can overcome the distractions. Video works very well for this purpose. According to Techsmith, some 83% of people prefer watching videos over accessing content via text or audio.? Furthermore, every successive generation that enters the workforce has a higher threshold for engagement, a shorter attention span, and is more video-native than the last.
I fully understand that operationalizing video at scale can be difficult.? Finding and managing a production company is challenging, even before we get to the issue of budget.? There are many cheap & cheerful solutions out there, but both those solutions and their output are unlikely to pass muster in your organization.
Enter Vyond .? We’ve been providing an easy-to learn, powerful, enterprise-grade solution, which delivers highly relevant, brand-compliant output for over a decade.? We’ve been thrilling our customers, and we have the CSAT and NPS scores to prove it.
But what have we done for you lately?
We were the pioneers in “point & click, drag & drop” video making.? I still remember our old slogan “making a video shouldn’t be a drag, it should be drag & drop” fondly.? But if I’m looking at that through rose-colored glasses, that means it’s old.

What’s new, and the point of this post, is that Vyond is Getting Smarter.? We’ve wisened up by pursuing two paths with equal vigor.
First, Vyond has gotten smarter by listening to our customers. We have numerous methods, both online and offline, through which our customers provide us feedback. We channel this feedback into our service posture and product roadmap.
Some Fall Release features that derived directly from customer feedback include Advanced Charts, SVG import, collaboration via Notes and Event Logging.
Secondly, Vyond has worked very diligently to keep up with advancements in AI and ML. In particular, we’ve paid close attention to those advances which could really increase productivity for our customers, and less attention to those which seemed “more sizzle than steak.”
Vyond AI powered features in our Fall Release include Photo-to-Character, Slide-to-Video, and Automatic Translation (of all audio and on-screen text in a video, across > 70 languages).
Where is all this headed?
The Fall Release brings great advancements in productivity and content relevance to existing workflows in Vyond.? Put another way, it’s evolutionary change.
But the real shift is not too far away.? Instead of optimizing the existing workflow, the workflow itself will change.? This shouldn’t shock you; you’ve been through it so many times already.? You used to use maps to find your way.? Now a GPS guides you.? You ask Siri, Alexa or Google what time it is, what the weather’s like or to look something up on the internet.
This revolution will be similar.? You’ll always be able to make videos in Vyond the way you do now.? But you’ll also be able to say “Hey Vyond, make me a video.”? Instead of pointing and clicking on Vyond, you’ll have the option to “talk” to Vyond about your audience, objectives, content, tone, etc.? Instead of being the hands-on video maker, you’ll be the manager of your ace video editor named Vyond.
You’ll always be able to browse our extensive resources and learn how to be a better editor, voice recorder, motion path creator, etc.? You’ll always have the option to be creative.? But you’ll also have the option to just be done - faster than ever - with a great video - which will command the attention of your target audience.
Don't be impatient with chargebacks, time is money ??
