Getting Ready for the Session

Hi, yet another Sunday is here. Today I am going to speak about getting ready for the session or setting the stage.

?Reach the venue much before the training. Get acquainted with the settings. Test the equipment. Check the setting, ambience, seating order. Check the presentation. Sometimes the colours look appealing on our system but may not look so when projected.

?Also, certain colours are of high energy e.g., red, similarly colour-blind people will not be able to read letters in red.

Check the equipment

?Once I went to an international conference. My mentor asked me to save the presentation as pdf, and in the mail. When my turn came, I found that their system could not support my presentation. Thanks to my mentor, I had the pdf, I could present it successfully.

Keep the plan B ready.

Once one my colleague and I were supposed to deliver a training at a prestigious institute. We had the presentation ready, printouts ready. We went to the college already to deliver the session.?Once we reached there, we realised that there was a power cut, that too for indefinite period. We waited for some time, then we started the session without the ppt.?

So Happy Training to all. For more tips feel free to contact me.

Very useful tip ?? In my case, I have old VGA port in old laptop whereas the organization did not have and they had HDMI port. I could not use my laptop and I had to email the ppt to the someone else and use his laptop.
