Getting Ready for Aspen IDEAS 2019

I'm off to the beautiful mountains of Colorado to attend my second Aspen IDEAS Festival, a week-long event featuring some of the best and brightest minds in the world including world leaders, innovators, scientists, journalists, artists, politicians and champions of all colors and persuasions.

Founded in 2005 and organized by the Aspen Institute, this year's festival covers a broad range of topics that are very timely given the events happening in our world today. I'm personally excited to listen to, and perhaps pick the brains of, some top-notch speakers on the following areas of interest:

"The Urgency of Now", about the closing window of opportunity we have to tackle climate change once and for all

"The Return of Rivalry", about the shift in the balance of world power, long dominated by the US, given the re-emergence of Russia and China as an alternative to the liberal democratic narrative espoused by the west

"Can Business Choose Shared Prosperity" and "Enough", about the future of business and its potential to not just be a wealth creator, but a great wealth equalizer through purpose beyond profit

"Nobody is Immune from Suffering", about the epidemic of mental illness in our era and the future promise of emotional wellness for all

I'm ready to take in all the new ideas and update you on what I what I discover. Stay tuned!
