Getting Over Writer's Block

As a someone who is getting started on writing and publishing, I found that writer's block has often held me back from producing my best work. However, I've also done some homework and experimented with some methods to get over it. Here are the things I've picked up.
??? Many people assume they are bad at writing because it is hard. This is like assuming you are bad at weightlifting because the weight is heavy. Among many things, you can choose a lighter weight, improve your form, train more consistently etc. Try out different ways. The one thing that you shouldn't do is to put down the weights, exit the gym and kid yourself that you'll do it some other day. Apply this in your writing. No matter how hard it seems, sit down and write something.
??The blank page is always your biggest enemy. It'll cause writer's block and you seem to forget how to write. It happens to the best of us.
Just start.
Write something.
Write anything.
1 line, 1 paragraph or even just jot down some thoughts in point form!
?? The idea of having a very detailed outline before you can start to write is one that was hammered into us since our primary school days. But it doesn't apply here. All you need is a direction. Don't limit thoughts and imagination. It's the effort that goes into writing a clear sentence that leads to better thinking
??Get into the flow state. At least for me, once I get over the blank page and have a paragraph or two, I enter a flow state where I'm completely immersed in writing and ideas flow easily. Get in that zone and keep yourself there until you feel your concentration fading.
