Getting Off To A Fast Start: Making Moves Jan '25

If you blinked, you may have missed it. We're already 8% done with 2025. Most high achievers are already heads-down on their plans for this year because they wanted to get off the starting line quickly.

...but taking that approach can be a trap.

Drag racers speed down a straight track and can afford to go fast. Business is more like a Formula 1 track where there are places that you can go fast, but other areas that you need to slow down to go around the turn. Going too fast and staying straight may put you in a bad position if you're not careful.

By focusing on strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making, you can position your organization to meet the most ambitious goals.

Use these questions as a guide to uncover blind spots, unlock opportunities, and drive results that exceed expectations.

Without that, you have a bunch of processes that will be ignored and resentment growing among the ranks.I shared this recently with Matt McDarby on his The Sales Leaders Operating System podcast. Go listen to the episode and subscribe to the podcast for more insights about leading sales teams effectively.

Your Commission Plans Just Rolled Out... Now What?

Once you finally have sign-off on your company’s sales commission plans, the real fun can begin – administering them.
