One of my old passions is to develop websites and applications. Working with Frameworks such as Laravel and VueJS gives me inspiration for my job to develop my deeper technical skills. As a Data Architect working with concepts like Microservices, I wanted to see if it is possible to combine one and another, so by using a bit of my spare time I deployed a local Kubernetes cluster and started playing around with Docker and Laravel. As for Kubernetes, it really has some rough edges, but looking at all the attention around it, it might transform into a new era in IT. I have the believe the majority of future applications will eventually be built and packaged using Kubernetes and open source has a very important role in this. Containers really do support the Serverless computing trend and Kubernetes combined with Containerization is a very welcome addition to the Function as a Service approach.
