Getting the most out of your stakeholder events - Part Two

Part Two: In-person or online? The format of your event matters!

??? Since 2018, we have run 177 stakeholder workshops in person, online and as hybrid. We wanted to understand the different factors that affect turnout rate – and how.

?? So, because we’re into this sort of thing, we decided to crunch all of the data – based on almost 11,000 unique registrations – and here’s what we found.


?? Over the last five years, average in person turnout has decreased from ~64% to as low as 50%.

?? However, this is not true for workshops that are either entirely online or are run as hybrid. Since we started running stakeholder workshops with an online element, attendance rates have remained steady at around 55%.

?? This means to boost your turnout rate you should always consider including an online element to your engagement events.

?? Hybrid events in particular give you the best of both worlds: retaining the benefits of face-to-face engagement, while allowing anyone to participate regardless of geography or time constraints.
