Getting the most out of Microsoft Teams - hidden features to make your next call more effective - Part 1
Microsoft Teams has become an integral part of my collaborative workspaces and acts as a central hub for my conversations, collaborative teamwork, chats and document sharing.
In this article, I will share three features that you can make use of to make the next call most effective.
Allowing attendees to unmute.
Is the background noise from one of the attendees driving you crazy? By default this option is enabled but there are instances when you don't want attendees to be able to unmute themselves. Use this feature and don't allow the attendees to unmute till you want them to contribute. This is especially useful if you have a large number of attendees joining a call.
Use whiteboard to share ideas
Take your meeting to the next level by enhancing collaboration. The in build white board feature allows attendees to interact on a virtual whiteboard with notes, text and free hand drawings.
Allowing attendees to bypass the lobby
There are often times you are setting up the call or finalising the presentation. By allowing selected attendees to bypass the lobby, the attendees can join the call and start saying hello to each other. But there are other times when you want everyone to join the call at the same time and if this is the case you can only allow yourselves to bypass the lobby. This is also useful for guests calling in via phone as you may not want them to be waiting.
Stay tuned for next post where I will share more options that will make you next call virtual meeting more effective!
