Is getting married young a good idea?

IDK, I’m 28 and still think I’m not ready for such a big life commitment, but I have a little sister who is 25, and I don’t mind if she decides to get married to the one she truly loves. (but not harami type of boyfriend,?? LOL)

Let me tell you some factors.

I have a friend who got married last year (his age is 37), and now his marriage is in grave. He used to be actively involved in church activities and have a vibrant social life, but now he is engaged in alcoholism and constantly fights with his spouse.

I'm not supposed to say this, but his wife drinks with other men, and he drinks heavily with other women as well. Both of them are living a destructive life. None care about their marriage.

Now, let me tell you!!!

I have a cousin who got married at a very young age (after she completed her 10+2), around 19–21 young ages. But she and her husband have a strong and loving relationship. They have two children, and their marriage is still growing stronger.

One thing that I envy about their marriage is their maturity and ability to handle every challenge that comes their way.

Their love for each other outweighs any difficulties they face??. Her husband calls her mummy??, and she calls him babe??. Both of them never stop cultivating their relationship and keeping their love burning??.

Now you tell me, is getting married young a good idea?

Well, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. It ultimately depends on the person.

Rather, I want to divert this question to "Are you ready?"

Let me ask;

1. Are you ready to commit to a lifelong partnership?
2. Are you financially stable and prepared to support a family?
3. Are you emotionally mature and capable of handling life challenges?
4. Are you willing to sacrifice personal freedom and prioritize a partnership?
5. Are you ready to make a family?
