As I celebrate the beginning of another year of a blessed union, I cannot help but reflect on the wisdom of those who have walked this path before us:
A great marriage is not when the 'perfect couple' comes together. It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences. @ Dave Meurer
Marriage is an intricate dance, a delicate balance of compromise and understanding, patience and perseverance. It is a journey that requires constant nurturing and attention to navigate through life's ever-changing landscape.
Education plays a vital role in sustaining a strong and healthy marriage. Cultivating a deep understanding of one another's values, dreams, and aspirations allows us to grow together and stay aligned with our goals.
Through active listening and open communication, we empower each other to blossom, just as the sun and rain work in harmony to nurture a flower.
Marriage itself is an institution on its own. Don't go in if you are not ready to learn.
Above all, commitment to compromise, forgiveness, and adaptation serves as the mortar that holds the bricks of our union together. Life is unpredictable, and our ability to embrace change as a team enables us to weather the storms that may come our way.
While getting married may seem effortless, it is our daily choice to stay married that defines our bond. With each passing day, we choose to love, cherish, and grow together, etching our unique story into the tapestry of time.
The secret to a happy marriage is if you can be at peace with someone within four walls, if you are content because the one you love is near to you, either upstairs or downstairs, or in the same room, and you feel that warmth that you don’t find very often, then that is what love is all about. @ Bruce Forsyth
