Getting to Know Your Data in Peacock
Back in March of this year, we introduced a new feature to Peacock by Pagos called Know Your Data. This section of our data aggregation and visualization platform breaks down your overall payments data by individual filter parameters. For example, the BIN List Know Your Data page identifies the top bank identification numbers (BINs) associated with payment cards you've processed transactions for, along with aggregated metrics like total transaction count and approval rate for each BIN. Knowing this information sets you up for success when filtering your payments data in Peacock to look for trends or opportunities.?
Using Know Your Data to Get to Know Your Data
Let’s walk through a simple scenario for how you might use the Know Your Data pages: Say you wanted to see what your transaction approval rates are for the top five BIN) you’ve processed transactions with in the last three months. To do so, you’d need to:
For step one, simply open the BIN List page in the Know Your Data section of Peacock and set the Period filter to the last three months. By default, the table will display your BINs in descending order by transaction count; click on each of the first five BINs to copy them.
Then navigate to the Peacock Home dashboard and use the Issuing Bank filter to filter the dashboard to only show transactions made with the five BIN values:
With just two simple steps, you identified an important segment of your customer base—those who paid using cards with the top five most frequently encountered BINs in your transaction data—and visualized your per-processor approval rate trends for that segment. What more could you want?

There’s More to Know
On July 24, 2023, we released some new features in the Know Your Data section of the Peacock Service Panel! To start, we’ve made it easier for you to customize what data appears in the tables on each Know Your Data page. This way, you can set the table to only show what data matters most to your business. Click the list icon in the top right corner, then select your preferred data columns.
You can pick from the following data columns:
Once you’ve selected your columns, you can then re-arrange them in the table. To do so, click a chart header and drag the column to the desired location.
Lastly, we’ve made the download feature of Know Your Data a bit smarter. Whenever you click the Download button, the downloaded CSV file will only include data for the columns you selected, and in the order you specified.?
