Getting to know the new Chair and Vice Chair of the Fongit Board

At Fongit we welcomed a new Chair Igor Fisch (IF) and Vice Chair of the Board Monica Malcarne (MM). If you want to learn more about them, check out this brief interview.

Tell us a little bit about your activities:?

MM:?Previously, I was Board President of Fondation Eclosion. I also hold the position of VP Strategy, Digital and Data Delivery Solutions at LabCorp.

IF:?I am an entrepreneur at heart. I was CEO of Selexis SA, a biotech company I founded in 2002. I am now the founder and CEO of NewBiologix SA, a biotech company. I also sit on the board of Igyxos SA and Fluosphera SA.

What do you see as the biggest strength of Fongit right now??

MM:?The team's ability to foster a strong pipeline of startups and projects. Its reputation is extremely robust, which is extremely valuble.

IF:?Fongit's strength was built over the years. Today the team at Fongit have built a strong brand filled with a unique pipeline of promising startups.

How can you describe your style of leadership?

MM:?I am recognized as a reliable leader with solid execution skills, I am a talent developer with strong collaboration abilities. I am also knows as being a courageous leader.

IF:?I am an entrepreneur and thus a decision maker. I try to carry visions for the future and convey the vision with energy to my collaborators.

How do you see Fongit evolving as the Chair and Vice Chair of Fongit?

MM:?I am inspired by working closely with Igor Fisch and the board members to support our strategies.?

IF:?In the years to come, Fongit will become a leader in promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging innovations for the well-being of societies. With today’s immense challenges (global warming, energy, transport, food, …), Fongit will be a think tank where we anticipate and promote changes through entrepreneurship for our societies. Fongit will thus become a worldwide player in the promotion of innovation for the benefit of societies.
