After reviewing countless articles from the last decade on this subject it seems that they all land on similar conclusions.

People stop exercising for?5 main reasons?


Time and Money being the major factors:






M.T.N.U.T.?

?

  1. NO MONEY?
  2. NO TIME?
  3. NO NEED?
  4. NO URGENCY?
  5. NO TRUST?(INTIMIDATED BY GYM ENVIRONMENTS ETC)


What's one of the biggest reasons people quit exercise programs?

The most common reasons why people start and stop an exercise program are well documented: 1)?a perceived lack of time,?2) exercise-related injuries, and 3) exercise is not fun (which often is due to starting at an exercise intensity that is too high for their fitness level).

This literally brings us back to the previous?blurb?about adherence?


If we have such vast quantities of free information beamed into your home for free how can these be the issues that continually crop up?


It would seem that the answer to breaking down these said barriers should be easy to come up with:



Shorten the Exercise time, Make it more accessible and make it less expensive?



No Urgency perhaps is over looked ? If you are told by a health professional that you will die in the next?24 hours if you dont get up at precisely 5am every morning for?the next 10 year you can be sure you will get up....



Exercise is similar for many people they need that sense of urgency or they need exercise to fit into their lives and someone to be acountable to for showing up!?
