Getting 'Back on Track'

In the midst of restrictions easing across some countries, debate has obviously surfaced regarding the best way to transition back to work; while prioritizing employee well being and safety. 

In my opinion, a fantastic example of a company that has taken the reins to help restart their local economy is sports car giant, Ferrari.

Within Italy, a country that has been particularly badly hit by C19, Ferrari chose to take a national leadership role very early on. Understanding that while the government was primarily focusedy on the public health crisis, businesses could and should step-up and help to solve the economic challenge. As such, the great minds within Ferrari developed a comprehensive and proactive approach to returning to work – a programme they called “Back on Track”.

Since early April, Ferrari have been using the best medical advice and guidance to fully prepare for the eventual reopening of their modern plants in Modena and Maranello – something they achieved last Friday.

You can learn more about Ferrari's programme from the links below, however the crux of this story is not about Ferrari wanting to make cars sooner - it's about innovative businesses taking the lead to get back into an economic cycle in a considered, controlled and as safe a way as possible. The fact that Ferrari have placed their people at the centre of their strategy (married with medical advice and innovative technology) for me is the key to their enduring success.
