Get Yourself a "Soul-Centered" Project

This is somewhat of an unusual “LinkedIn article” for me, yet an exciting and hopefully an inspiring one

I know, usually, LinkedIn is kept for the most of us on a pure business basis, either marketing or hiring, or both. And indeed, that’s been the case for me too, for the time I’ve been using this platform.

However, as I very recently completed a big personal project, a meaningful one, one which I take great pride in, I also found this project to be something worth talking about here on LinkedIn and that could possibly be of an interest to my fellow LinkedIn friends and network, mainly as a source of inspiration to combine our demanding routine with some pure soul-centered projects.

And so, this is how STARDUST was born. I’m very excited to introduce you all to: STATDUST – my very new music single, the 2nd one (second to Inspiration: November, 2020), which was released officially to stores last week (Spotify, Apple Music, deezer, TIDAL, YTMusic, napster, iTunes, Shazam, and more) together with my band: URBANIM.

?Now, I’m fully aware of the thought that may cross your mind. That’s a marketing post in disguise. Well, to an extent, it might be the case. And while I would definitely not mind and actually be very (very) happy with as much listeners as possible, and while I think our music truly worth it, this post is actually much more about the process than the final output.

STARTDUST is a byproduct of a unique journey of 9 months, some kind of an artistic pregnancy if you will. One that involved wonderful people, stories, challenges and one global pandemic to go. This journey took place during weekly nights, weekends, vacations and then few more nights, all to accomplish the goal of realizing another part of me which is not fully reflected or expressed in my day job, at least not in its pure artistic unbounded way, but definitely one that kicks in at evening and night times and every second in between those formal ones ??

Pursuing this goal included: writing, composing, producing, recording and mixing this piece alongside wonderful individual professionals, each in his own domain. The standard set forth was definitely the highest one can possibly aim at, both artistically as well as technically at a broadcast level. ?And I’m more than happy and proud to say that it met the goal completely, at least from where I’m standing.

And so again, what’s the purpose of this article...?

Of course, bragging for one, but seriously….

Well, executing this goal at the highest level required me to be as efficient as I can with everything I do. Work. Family. Friends. Everything. More efficient, more prepared and more than everything, focused. No dancing around with daily tasks and pushing them later on that day or to the next day. No unnecessary processes to keep me distracted from what I need to deliver at the end of the day, and of course, no discounts in achieving ambitious goals in my business as well as private life.

Sounds quite challenging and to an extent even paradoxical, right? After all, how adding additional projects and processes can get you focused on the things you’re challenged the most with?

Well, the answer to that question lies in the wonderful, magical balance of efficiency & ventilation. On one hand, as described, in order to truly achieve the necessary milestones, I had to embrace a demanding and efficiency-oriented process on a daily basis. However, on the other hand, the creation and realization of music kicked in with its venting effect enabling me to throw all unnecessary tension out the door at night time and clean my head for the next day to come. It was like an intense process of: “press & release” that kept me in shape and in line with the goals on the table. Of course, there’s always a downside. In this case, it was clearly bed time which was significantly reduced to minimum but then there were also excitement and adrenaline which were there to keep me awake for the next round.

?Add to that, 3 kids under the age of 5, sport and quality time at home to make sure I’m not by any chance feeling too comfortable with the pace and you get yourself a home-made Olympic version of work-life balance to maintain.

Of course, none of that could have become possible without the wonderful people I met along the way, my one-of-a-kind band members, friends, partners and musical soul mates: Raviv Ben Itzhak & Alon Sandak, and my one and only, who truly defined and still does, the true meaning of being: THE PERFECT PARTNER & SPOUSE, Tamar Elnathan

?Bottom line,

Getting yourself a personal, soul-oriented project, which is far too important to pass on and pursuing it to full realization may be intense and challenging but it also gets your motor running, adds meaning to the time you’re spending during the day, balances your effort and vents aggregated tension.
