Get Your Taste of ThinkLab

Back in November, Interior Design announced the acquisition of Contract Consulting Group (CCG)– a market research firm I started 8 years ago with a simple goal: combine the worlds of design and research to drive innovation in the interiors industry. This move was a bold one and relied heavily on the ability to merge our humble, albeit mighty team of CCGers with the industry-renowned presence of Interior Design Media. We’re now just shy of a year into ThinkLab, the research division of Interior Design Media, and I can say, without a doubt, that it was a sound and strategic move as our brands combine to uniquely and passionately serve this industry we love.  

Yet, I’d be remiss to brush past the fact that a large portion of the Interior Design Media community and the industry at large doesn’t fully understand the breadth of everything we do. We say that we are researchers who think like designers and designers who think like researchers, but what does that really mean? You may know that our team is comprised of a diverse background of design industry experience, and we’ve worked alongside marketing and product development teams in manufacturing. And perhaps you’ve dabbled in our Insights Blog or seen a few of our survey invitations on social media, but these mediums don’t always provide color into the true level of analysis that makes our team tick.
