2016 was a bad year for you, there was no chance for you to get a job, not even a call for an interview.

Don’t feel too bad, if not , there are millions like you, there are several thousands of people like you, the had the same bad luck last year.

Yes, I call it already last year.

Lets forget the dark side of it, but lets get the lights to shine our way for 2017.

For those those who never had the chance to work, lets get a job.

For those who are looking for new opportunity regardless of the reasons, lets get this new opportunity.

Yes, lets get.

But how?

Here is how: you have to put in your mind those three main phases:

A)    Analysis of 2016

B)     Plan of 2017

C)     Implementation & breaking down the 2017 Plan.

The Analysis part.

-         What went wrong, and before that lets celebrate what we done great in the last year.

-         Lets celebrate; our celebrate will indicate the following :

It is a recognition of our won efforts.

It is realization that we have done somthigng great & lets sustain it also for next year. That is the point, don't rush into fixing our gaps , and we lose the track of our strength. And, once I reach into this pints; why not to do SWOT analysis.

It is the end of the year, and you tried enough I am assuming to argue even that SOWT is not meant for individual.

If you do , you are wrong my friend.

Make it very simple, to articulate the strength at first, then the weakness; and do the rest if the analysis; not sure: please Google it check our second uncle YouTube.

Sending singles to others, we have strengths and we done some great things. It is a way to build your personal brand too in positiveness and value the strength.

-         Lets see the root cause of failure or the weakness. Do the fish diagram; Ohh please don’t grap a fresh fish from the sea. Water is too cold those days. Check your 1st uncle Google.

-         Identify the real gaps.


B) The Plan for 2017:

Here again, let’s do it very simple too.

  • Set up SMART goals. Try to get it as much measurable as you can. Here is the sector, don’t overwhelm your self with those goals, and once things start not working, you will freak out.
  • If you take my word, please make it 3-4 goals , they will be more than enough especially if this is your first time to do in very systematic goals. And, you still think, you got few on your hands, then get big four, and divide them into sub-goals. And if get difficulties to draft those goals, then there is no shame to ask your supervisor to help you out with those goals. Or seek a help of an expert.
  • Divide those goals and the whole year into four quarters. “ Divide to rule”.
  •  Do the 70-20-10 development to cover the gaps from last year.
  • Don’t forget the money thing vs the timeline too.

I bet you are asking your self, what is the hell is 70-20-10.


Lets explore this concept in the third and final phase.

C)     Implementation & breaking down the 2017 Plan.


The implementation phase is the most important part, and lets tackle it by telling you what is the 70-20-10 thing:

·        10% : should only the course at class. This is more than enough believe me ( You will save money & time on this too).

·        20%: Find you a mentor, or a coach ; you kind called even a friend at work to guide you through the tasks and activities that you will learn this year.


·        There is the main part, 70% , believe  it or not , it is simply work. The daily work you do should :

o  Related to the things that you should do and learn to do to cover the gaps.

o  The mentoring and coaching process should linked also to the 70 % you do daily.

o  Even what is left, 10% again should be linked to the daily work and whatever you can't get from the mentoring, you should get it from those courses.

  • Keep review the plan every quarter, don’t harry too, I do it at middle year if things are not really working.
  • Take only the first 10 minutes of your day to remind your self that you have a plan that you should accomplish.
  • Sleep with it, I take only extra five minutes before I sleep to remind myself that I have to keep the planning to the rest of my-life , and I remind myself that I have to finish it as per time targeted, as this will be the last night of my life.


Live your dreams, keep close to your dream, and dream about what you have done so far about this dream.

Very very true doc. It is really what we need to do and implement during this year especially with the current situation. I believe if any one of us implement what you have written, at least we will come to know why do we exists in our different organizations. We must believe on 70:20:10 and management should also support this and make it a practice for all employees.
