GET YOUR HEAD IN THE CLOUDS

Not exactly advice you hear frequently, if ever, but like so much these days it’s about CONTEXT. What is most relevant to focus on at the present moment?
“Get your head in the clouds” is certainly sage advice for skydivers. That’s what I love about the sport – it brings clarity and focus to the present. Emails, to-do lists, and extraneous non-important matters take a back seat; at least temporarily.
Now let’s take this approach to another high-octane environment – the board room.
The right focus: What are we trying to accomplish? Is the goal realistic? What do we need to get it done?
The wrong focus: Why can’t we do what we’ve always done? Here’s a tactic in search of a strategy. What’s for lunch?
In conclusion, let’s get our heads in (or out) of the clouds, depending on the need at hand.
