Get Your Business Organized: Strategies for Success

Hello! Happy Friday!

I am working from bed today and it feels fantastic! There is just something about being in your comfy clothes, being one with your lap desk, and having all your beverages lined up next to you! I also think it is an Avocado Toast kind of day. Seriously though, I am obsessed! Crazy to think that I only just started eating avocados a few years ago. I’m talking if it touched any food on my plate, I would not eat it. I guess we can thank chemo for that! Weird cravings always hit at the right time, and now I am obsessed! I have a lot of writing to get done today so I just need to be in the zone. Creating a space that makes you feel good when you work is so important. Even if it is just a tiny cubicle situation. Make it your own little sanctuary.

I know a lot of us are in “back to school’ mode so I wanted to share a few tips with you to help you get organized in your business this weekend. You know just in case your week was intense, crazy, and you need a little revamping over the next few days.

Here are my favorite strategies I implement for success…

Declutter Your Workspace: Less is more! I promise you! Clear out unnecessary items, organize your office area, and create a tidy environment that fosters focus and productivity. I have so many podcast episodes on these topics. I also have some of the best Spotify playlists. Music is key! I pride myself on being one of the most organized, productive, and scheduled humans! It just works for me. You can tune in here to get yourself realigned and find out what works best for you today!

Plan Your Week Ahead: I do this every Friday and always prep for each day the night before. This goes for home organization as well. Grocery lists, meal prep, laundry, cleaning, all of it! You must come from a great space (one that works best for you) to create great content! Set goals, outline tasks, and prioritize your to-do list. Use digital tools or a planner to keep everything organized. I am a big fan of Calendly, and the Notes App on my phone!

Streamline Your Processes: Look at the apps and programs you are using and see what you can eliminate. I did this at the beginning of the year and cut over $200/month in costs. Review your workflows and look for areas to simplify or automate. This can save time and reduce stress in the long run. You can view all the tools I use on my website! A lot of them are free! If you are a content creator like me my favorite tool to use is Repurpose.io ! They’re the best. I have been using them for about three years now. You can try them out for free here!

Update Your Digital Files: Sort through your emails, organize your digital documents, and back up important data. A well-organized digital space can greatly improve efficiency. I have a whole check list I go through on the first day of every month. If you want my exact method just message me and I will send you a pic of my post-it notes! I also use Backblaze, Google Drive, iCloud, and an external hard drive for everything! You can never be too organized! lol

Revise Your Business Goals: I have a separate notebook for this! I also have a wall dedicated to business and life! My year at a glance calendar is color coded and filled with post-it notes. My brain works best when I can see everything in front of me. So just find a system that works best for you! There are no rules! Don’t stress yourself out about this. Take time to reflect on your business objectives. Make sure they align with your current vision, and adjust your strategies as needed to stay on track.
