Next, we’re seeing a lot of buzz around a smaller emerging trend #villainmakeup with 16M views. Creators love the #makeuptransition template to serve seductive looks with – you guessed it – a whole lot of under-eye liner. Every year the 星巴克 menu change feels like a jump scare, so we thought it might be useful to know when exactly #pumpkin discourse begins and summer is deemed over.

We tracked down the data behind pumpkin season to see when it officially kicks off, noticing the expected surge between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. We also noticed that this year, #PSL and pumpkin-related things are on pace to be bigger than last year by a 300% increase in popularity.

Pumpkin Spice is back with a major increase in videos and views

Some communities are more pumpkin-friendly than others. We’re seeing lots of action in the land of #MomTok, with #momsoftiktok in the top 5% of hashtags surrounding the trend. Cookies and coffee are the most popular topics being mentioned in relation to pumpkins. In terms of brands, we’ve got eyes on #crumblcookies and #nespresso as the frontrunners in the pumpkin conversation.?


That said, brands are jumping on the pumpkin trend sooner than in 2022. #Crumblcookies has made the biggest increase in pumpkin discourse market share – going from just 124.55K views this time last year, to a whopping 4.5M views as of early September 2023.??
