Last month the team at Sell Beyond paid a visit to clients who were at the London Toy Fair. It was great to meet distributors of some of the most sought-after toys available on the market right now.
Who doesn't want to come face to face with Duggee and Baby Shark, whilst uncovering some old classics (a favourite of mine has to be the marble run) and encountering the 'must have' toys for 2024 - it's a Plushie BTW!?
Meeting clients and new contacts brought to my attention the common misconception that Sell Beyond encounters all the time with companies selling on Amazon: having the same budgeting strategy for both Amazon ads and retail promotions. ?
Selling in-store is a completely different playing field to promoting your product using Amazon ads. Why?

Stat of the month
Amazon has paused payments to some UK sellers while it carries out stricter checks to ensure they are based in the UK for tax purposes.? These measures have left many businesses at risk of bankruptcy when they are waiting for payouts. We've heard of companies based in Scotland and Wales being told they're not based in the UK.?
The Telegraph reports that approximately 400 small-scale traders have sought assistance from Liz Barclay, the UK Government's small business commissioner after Amazon froze their funds for an extended period.
