I love to say that I'm unemployed.

I can imagine if someone is out of work, then they say "I'm unemployed." Simple as that. It is honest too.

But One situation or event can have different truth to it, and the same situation can be seen from a different perspective, and off course, there is no "one truth."

If you don't have a job, then maybe you do see yourself as "unemployed." However, to some people, it makes you sound like a victim. People may feel sorry for you and feel awkward about it.

Please note that here I'm not saying to follow ten things if you're unemployed, but you'll get a better reaction from people if you feel the more simple answer to be true, especially at career events, meetups and at parties.

Examples:

  • I'm planning on setting up my startup or online business.
  • I'm taking a break right now from work. I want to travel and spend some time with my family.
  • I'm looking into ways of expanding my careers. I left my last job, and now I want to move forward.

You're doing something great with your life :) that maybe you're simply working out what do you want to do next, and this is completely fine.

Hope it will help :) and what you're doing with your time will create more positive vibes about you to others. GOOD LUCK!!!
