The Semi-Therm thermal engineering community is one of the most welcoming groups around. Over the years, we have reviewed thousands of technical abstracts and papers from students at all academic and professional development levels. During that time, we’ve made it easy to get recognized within the thermal community by offering FOUR levels of symposium presentation involvement.
For each presentation type, we suggest using a non-published paper that you have completed, or will soon complete, as part of your university coursework. Then, simply use the existing abstract section as a guide for the 2-page abstract submission that’s due to Semi-Therm by October 1.
After your abstract is accepted (Nov 1), you’ll register for the March event by January 20. This is also the submission date for final papers, if applicable. Fifteen minute-long presentations are due by March 1 in preparation for the March 10-15 event in San Jose, CA.
Peer Reviewed Paper & Presentation - For maximum career impact, get a peer-reviewed paper published. Papers are published in both the Semi-Therm and IEEE EXplore.
Non-Peer Reviewed Paper & Presentation – This option will save a bit of time as there won’t be any required modifications to the paper based on peer review. Papers are published only in the Semi-Therm library.
Presentation Only – All you’ll need is an abstract and a presentation. This option is great if you're short on time but still want the presentation exposure that improves career contacts and opportunities.
Poster – If you’d like a one-on-one experience with the audience, the poster route may be best. Here, you’ll have an hour to field questions about your research with interested professionals.
Such a great opportunity for presenting and visibility to a LOT of career industry Thermal folks!
