Get Ready to Stretch and Flex in 2024

Stretch. S-t-t-r-e-c-h-h.? S-t-t-t-r-e-t-t-c-h-h-h.? How many of us start our days with words like these to loosen our bodies from a night of sleep?? I’d guess many do.

We stretch our legs, our bodies, our routines.? But how often do we – as insurance brokers and consultants – stretch our thinking about the products and solutions we offer customers? Do we market products because they are a comfortable fit for customers?? Or because they used to be a fit???

More than 50 million Americans – self-employed individuals, team members at smaller groups, employees at large companies – have health insurance plans that no longer fit their needs.? Think: If the average consumer only has $5,000 of disposable savings, why sell a plan with a $10,000 deductible?? If half of the workforce changes jobs every 18 months and changes where they live every 24 months, why enroll them in a plan that covers where they used to be… not where they are going to be?
