City Council Approves Two Tower Development In Fulton Market

The Chicago City Council has approved the two-tower development at 170 N May Street and 175 N Racine Avenue in?Fulton Market.

Set to rise 25-stories and 315 feet tall, the initial phase will sit at 170 N May Street with its four-story podium running the full block length of May Street. This will be anchored by a 20,000 square-foot grocer which is rumored to be Trader Joes on the corner with Randolph, joining this will be additional retail and a 252-vehicle parking garage.

Hire360 Opens New Training Hub To Boost Diversity In Chicago’s Construction And Trades

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson joined Pritzker and others to celebrate the Hire360’s brand-new training and business development center.

So far, the nonprofit has helped roughly 500 candidates get into the trades. Leaders hope their new development center will propel many more towards apprenticeships and high-paying jobs.?

EeroQ Announces Expansion At Quantum Computing Site In Chicago

EeroQ Corporation?has announced an expansion at its quantum computing site in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. The company is committing $1.1 million, supported by a state program that helps startups and investments from the Illinois Innovation Venture Fund (INVENT).

Quantum computers can process information much faster than traditional computers, which could lead to major breakthroughs in many areas. EeroQ is well-positioned to take advantage of Illinois’ strong infrastructure and its closeness to important institutions like the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park and the University of Chicago.
