You can learn what data you need and how to prepare today. Locus offers world-class, market-tested software and consulting services to help you stay ahead of the curve.
What is the CSRD?
Starting in 2025, the European Union will mandate large and listed companies to disclose information on risks and opportunities related to their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The focus will be on the impact of their activities on people and the environment. This information will be disclosed under the new CSRD, which replaces the EU's legacy ESG reporting program (the NFRD). The CSRD aims to raise the bar for breadth and robustness in sustainability reporting. It covers categories beyond carbon, including pollution, water, air, waste, and biodiversity. The ESRS, the CSRD's technical rules, specify what companies must disclose and how. The information on these topics must be included in annual reports alongside financials and be subject to audit assurance.
Locus Solution
Collect, manage, and report on your ESG data with Locus. Companies have trusted us globally to organize and report their environmental data for three decades. Locus has made it easier for companies to compile, review, and report on large volumes of ESG data for major international reporting frameworks such as SASB, TCFD, the UN SDGs, and GRI.
We support the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) as a managed framework to help companies comply with the EU Corporate CSRD alongside all other reporting frameworks Locus currently serves.?
The CSRD will require companies to report against the ESRS. Many of the disclosures required under ESRS are data intensive and require companies to gather thousands of data points. Locus software is highly scalable to support this.
This is how CSRD reporting software from Locus can help you meet your disclosure requirements.
Build a single, auditable ESG data record.
Calculate your GHG emissions.

Unify ESG Reporting, Sustainability, and EHS Compliance in a Single Platform
The Locus ESG Reporting application integrates with other Locus Platform SaaS applications and Locus's calculation engine. It redefines how companies organize, manage, and calculate their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, water, energy, and waste management.
As a leading accredited GHG verification company in California, Locus directly observed the challenges many companies experience with GHG inventory calculation and the gross inadequacy of available tools. Informed by their experience verifying hundreds of GHG inventories, Locus developed the new ESG application and calculation engine with a unique insight into the customer's needs.
ESG reporting and EHS compliance are inherently cross-functional and coupled activities. Managing them together rather than separately is better. Locus built its platform on a highly secure, scalable, configurable, and efficient?multi-tenant software platform. The traditional approaches to using a separate app or a spreadsheet for EHS compliance, sustainability management, or ESG reporting were ripe for digital transformation to a single platform of record. We built the Locus Platform from scratch to use the latest cloud technologies and flexible and domain-driven reporting requirements.
Data accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility are prerequisites for sustainable investments and credible reporting. Locus reports and calculations are fully transparent and auditable, so customers and regulators can track report outputs back to input data.
The Locus Platform empowers companies to gain a holistic view of their sustainability performance by enabling them to assemble and report their EHS and ESG data within a single system.
Locus Platform
Locus specifically built its configurable Locus Platform to unify many current and future applications on a single SaaS platform. The LP offers various features and functionalities to power sustainability measurement, management, and corporate reporting. But it also provides a launching pad for interoperable EHS-related and unrelated apps sharing relevant information, thus avoiding double input. Among its features are the following:
