As it is Christmas I thought the above number was appropriate.? Get This Party Started was originally recorded by US Female Artist PINK in 2001 but has also been made famous by Dame Shirley Bassey in the M & S Christmas Advert of 2006 when the adverts were produced on relatively low budgets and usually had both impact and resonance.? This particular advert used celebrities and was a great example of how you got in the mood for Christmas, in sharp contrast to some of the WOKE EFFORTS we now have to suffer from other leading Retail Groups - I don’t need to or have to mention any names - but these are generally cringe worthy attempts to embrace and cover all groups of society in their attempt to escape any media or WOKE backlash.

Getting This Party Started can focus on a number of themes but I wanted to focus specifically on three and, for once there is no reference to economics or investments.? In the current environment most of us with Conservative Values are desperately in need of Getting another Party Started – but more of this later.? We are living in a society carefully crafted and created by Social Media where, unintentionally, it is quite easy to be offensive.? The day of the Comedian is sadly over.? Some of us would call this an Unsocial Media because in this world of Political Correctness we are clearly no longer allowed to express any opinion for fear of creating social unrest and upsetting all minority groups - and sometimes majority groups - under the sun.? So let’s examine these three specific issues that have hit the headlines recently.

In my best Football Parlance, I will kick off with Joey Barton, who has provided me with a great example to Get This Hate Party Started.? JB has suggested that women shouldn’t comment on ‘The Beautiful Game’ when it is played by men and he probably has a point but he didn’t really articulate his argument very well.? Kevin Keegan, an ex England National Team Manager, said as much a few weeks ago but didn’t seem to attract any female wrath.? The problem with statements like this is that even though they may hold some credibility, they are also classified immediately by the WOKE brigade as misogynistic.? There are many excellent women who front sporting events and examples are, to name but three, Clare Balding, Gaby Logan and the recently retired Sue Barker.? However, to give some support to JB, I cannot recall any of these three excellent female presenters ever giving live commentaries on men’s or women’s sport.? I also think the message that Joey Barton was trying to get across was that just because women have played football to a high level, it doesn’t make them good commentators on the male game which cannot be compared with the female game, both in style or in content.? However, the point he didn’t make was that many world class male football commentators may never have played the game to a high standard.? John Motson, Barry, Davies and Brian Moore are three names that spring to mind.? Until a female enters The Hall of Famous Live Commentary, and it may well happen at some point, my advice to those who see JB as a Misogynist and are offended by his comments is this.? He is entitled to his opinion so just chill out and agree to disagree.

However, it’s not just football that provokes debate and ire.? We are all aware of the dynamic duo from Montecito who I prefer to call The Heir Fryer and The Family Wrecker who have done their damnedest to warrant a Red Card as they are simply too quick to play the Race Card over alleged conversations with the Royal Family about the colour of their unborn child.? My understanding is that these comments were made even before The Family Wrecker became pregnant and the silent majority together with anybody who has half a brain would probably agree that comments of this nature are clearly not racist and are common place.? However the Media will always want to sensationalize this debate and will always encourage the vocal minority, including that so called actress Oprah Winfrey, to get on their high horse.? I find it all rather pathetic and this loved up couple would be thought of in a much greater light if they stopped trashing their family on both sides of the pond.? However, they are clearly damaged goods and arguably their cause is beyond redemption.? The Heir Fryer and The Family Wrecker are the modern day equivalent of Mr & Mrs Simpson but all Edward V111 did was abdicate and marry a divorcee. Perhaps a removal of their Sussex Titles is imminent To Get the Royal Party Started.? There will always be small minorities who will never agree to disagree and my message to all minority causes is this.? Some will always deserve full support but others like this one particular issue, undermines the positive case for decent causes and any tantrums from Bonnie & Clyde are best ignored.

?Let’s finally turn attention now to theme three, UK Politics which has particular resonance about Getting This Party Started.? Clearly the Conservative Party has descended to the level of a Brian Rix Farce, especially since the Liberal Democrats were kicked into the long grass in 2019 by Boris Johnson who sadly now displays the qualities of a serial liar. ?The Beast of Bolsover, Dennis Skinner, referred most eloquently to the Coalition Government as the CONDEM PARTY, and having jettisoned the Liberal Democrats four years ago, the Government is now in a self destruct civil war, without any assistance from the opposition parties, and has consigned itself to the proverbial political gutter. ?It has run out of candidates for Ministerial Greatness, so much so it now needs to tap the House of Lords for fresh talent, albeit members in the Upper House are no longer elected members in the House of Commons.? I am of course talking about David Cameron, better known in the Media as ‘Dodgy Dave’.? Any WOKE who is upset by this label should re-familiarise themselves with the GREENSILL AFFAIR.?

Pressing the self destruct button must be food a drink to REFORM who are perhaps the solution at the next General Election to GETTING THIS PARTY STARTED..
