Get out of your comfort zone

Yesterday I completed my first experiment, something brand new, in faraway lands, in a different language, but it sparked both excitement and nervousness within me.

Approaching people I am not familiar with and asking for their assistance is not something that comes easily to me. Typically, as a teacher, I am accustomed to them seeking help from me. This experience has completely pushed me out of my comfort zone which I have been in for the past 10 years. I acknowledge that there is room for improvement, and although it was challenging at times, the learning process was beyond what I could have imagined.

Over the course of these nearly two months, I have gained a wealth of knowledge, met numerous individuals who have shared their expertise, their insights, their selfless opinions, and most importantly, their support.

Reverting to a student role once again has highlighted the importance of having someone to lean on, to offer guidance, advice, and support, which is incredibly valuable especially when unexpected challenges arise. This makes the journey a bit smoother, even though it may not be flawless.

Amidst high expectations, there are valuable lessons to be learned, as things often do not unfold as anticipated. I am grateful to life, my family, the divine guidance and to myself for embarking on this challenge, as despite the obstacles and setbacks, it has reaffirmed my passion for this path.
