Get Out Of My Way!

I've been getting in my own way.

I've put off something for far too long that is absolutely critical to my success.

In order to hit my million-dollar goal, I need enough supporters to back my Kickstarter campaign. In order to have enough supporters, I need to have enough followers and subscribers. And in order to accomplish that, I'm going to have to start recording or streaming my sessions of Attack! of the Sporelings .

The biggest challenge is my ability to record or stream these sessions. I've spent very little time testing it. I quickly ran into a challenge - I need a third monitor in order to support the setup required to run and record my game. It's a lot of coordination!

But I got that third monitor almost 2 weeks ago and haven't tried to do any more testing. I'm procrastinating because I don't want to do it. Because I've surrounded this new thing I have to learn and do with fear. Fear of failure. Fear of the unknown. I've used the excuse that I'm busy but I know deep down that I'm just scared.

My inability to start testing and implementing this critical component of my success is the number one thing holding me back right now.

This sounds familiar

I pulled a similar move not that long ago. I knew I needed to start outreach to potential collaborators but I kept telling myself I wasn't ready. The game wasn't ready. Different excuse, same BS. I told myself lies and tricked myself into not doing it and here I am a few weeks later pulling the same move.

But the funny part is that once I started, that's when I started seeing incredible results. My confidence flew through the roof and my growth accelerated rapidly.

I know the one thing I can do that will make the biggest impact on my business - that will help me achieve my goal of manifesting a million dollars. And the only thing getting in my way is my uncanny ability to come up with excuses : )

No more!

I'm making the decision right now, publicly that I will set up my third monitor, open up Stream Labs, and start test recording this weekend. I will record my next playtest session using this new setup so that I can make it a habit. And I will do so with every session moving forward so that I may begin to master this new craft. I will get better and better every time that I play.

It is fundamentally linked to my success and I'm DONE dragging it out any longer!

I will not fail in attaining my goal because of excuses. I will not let fear control my life. I am in control. I am the master of my own destiny!

Nothing will get in my way, not even myself!
